Friends tell me that although the main beach is lovely it is not very sandy and has pebbles. But I understand there are other small beaches inside the lagoon area. One I think is called Billy's and another Sugar? Do I have to walk to these beaches or will the little buses take me there?
Accepted AnswerBrianOffline0Yes the main beach at Oludeniz is a mixture of sand and shingle. There are a few smaller private beaches in the lagoon are . as you rightly say Billy's Beach, Sugar Beach , Nicholas Beach.
These beaches are private and all are free to enter, you do have to pay for the sun beds and umbrellas though. The beaches are sandy and the water is a little more warmer and , on the edge of the beach, the water is a lot more shallow, so more safer for the youngsters. All these beaches have a café/bar for food and drink ... some of them have bbq nights and entertainment laid on at a good price.
Most of these beaches will provide a pick up and drop of service. Some of the dolmus`s will take you round to these beaches IF they are not to busy, but don't expect them to.
Of course you can walk around the road to the different beaches, at the dolmus terminus just walk ahead to where the road forks and take the right fork ... to walk to the furthest beach will take about twenty minutes.
The Oludeniz Beach, the beach that is part of the nature reserve , there is an admission charge.
